Very helpful chap in the showroom at Bromborough, gave ourselves lots of food for thought ideas and gave pro's & cons, did not try and push you into buying or push you into the more expensive range. Had been in previously and was just as helpful. Booked an appointment, really helpful guy, gave prices and suggested ideas ..... not hard sell like some companies. They got our order..... just waiting on the fit now. Would recommend from our personal experience 👌.
Do not normally post reviews but we feel the need to make this review. Bought kitchen from LCK in Wallasey and chose them as they were a small local company. We used LCK’s recommended fitter Andy to install kitchen Kitchen fitting was started on the 20/08/18 by Andy. Whilst Andy was fitting the kitchen it became apparent that 2 doors in the housing unit were not the correct size. Andy informed us that he would contact the factory and get 2 new doors made to fit the housing unit. We were advised after 3 months by Andy that Cal McDowell the owner of LCK informed him we had to pay for these doors even though they were on the planned drawings signed off by us and LCK. After discussions with Cal he agreed to provide the correct size doors. We ordered quartz from Charlie Williams of David Williams Granite Worktops and Andy advised us that the splash back height at the back of the hob should be 720mm high. This was relayed to Charlie Williams and the quartz was installed. Andy came back to fit the extractor fan and advised us that this could not be installed as the splash back was too high as he had not opened the box containing the extractor fan and presumed, we had a cooker hood extractor and in fact we had an angled glass one. We had to have the splash back taken off the wall by Charlie and cut down to the correct size of 500mm high in order for the extractor fan to be installed. When the quartz was taken off it brought off a large part of our newly plastered wall. A leak under the sink occurred and we informed Andy and it took him a week to come out and repair. We found Andy’s mistakes and timescales very frustrating and stressful which resulted in us missing 2 timeslots the tiler gave us. Liaising with Cal (owner) we agreed that Andy would come out and complete the fitting of the kitchen on the 7th December, 2018, leaving kickboards to be fitted once tiling had been completed. On the 7th March 2019, Andy completed the kickboards and we paid him the reminder of the agreed price minus £60 for the cost of re-plastering the wall. In March 2019 during a telephone call to Cal at LCK he made some very serious slanderous remarks about us which we sought legal advice about. He later apologised for the remarks he made to us via e-mail. Andy came twice in April & September 2019 to address various problems with the kitchen. We recently contacted Andy to sort out a problem with our washing machine, he ignored all of our calls and we contacted Jay at LCK who finally got Andy to respond to us by e-mail. His reply was “I’m afraid I am not willing to return to rectify the issue you are having with your washing machine alignment due to the time that has elapsed and the fitting charge not being fully paid on competition of the fit. I’m sorry if this causes you any stress and you get the issue resolved. Thanks. Andy” The whole experience we have had with LCK and their recommended fitter Andy has been very, very stressful and so unnecessary. Andy’s non-communication and ignoring our texts which between us is (109) is so unprofessional. LCK have not telephoned us as promised over the weekend, and we feel very concerned that any further problems that may occur will be dismissed by both Andy and LCK. We are very worried about our expensive new kitchen given our previous problems with LCK and Andy.
Bought my first home that ended up needing to be fully gutted. After many recommendations from friends in work I went to LCK to get a quote. Jay was amazing to deal with and booked in a time to measure the next day. A week later I had the design and booked in my installation date for the week before Christmas. While waiting my partner wanted to change the tap and sink from what we had chosen, this was no problem for Jay. The fitter Andy was a professional in his work. He kept us updated during the week, he even boxed in our boiler pipes that were on show. If we are ever looking to upgrade our kitchen again, then I will be choosing LCK based on the excellent service we received from the start right till the end!
